Project: Ford Explorer Production - Interior

The design process of the Explorer interior, led by me, was a significant learning experience. Despite numerous challenges, the goal was to create an interior that is visually appealing, safe, and ergonomically sound. The result is a timeless blend of minimalist appeal and modern execution, with distinctive features such as simple architecture, functional space, and clean graphics.
The Explorer will be available with various insignias to designate ownership or affiliation, paying homage to its pedigree. With a large production run, Ford Explorer fans can expect a design that is "on point."

The Explorer interior program evolved continuously from day one. Determining what could remain versus what required redesign—while resolving key styling and functional issues—was an unexpectedly challenging process. The result was a major effort that delivered a cleaner, more cohesive, and more confident interior design.
